/about us
We opened ARMADALE CHURCH OF SPIRITUAL LIGHT in October 2006, with the help of some very talented people who work within the Spiritual movement. It started from a small seed and grew from there. We were paying our respects to a friend whose mother had passed over. After the service we started speaking to someone we had been to school with about our early days and progessed to Spiritual matters. We had a mutual belief and recognised the need to open a Church again. Spirit had drew us together for their pupose not ours. Armadale Church of Spiritual Light was to be reborn.
We decided to meet with some more like-minded people who helped us get the ball rolling. We found our hall by chance I was guided to go speak to a long standing friend who I knew from my early days in the Scouts. Margaret who with her husband Andy had ran the Scouts for many years in the hall where I spent many happy days in. Unfortunately she had retired from the Scouts and had handed the hall over but was more than willing to point me in the right direction. Again with the help of Spirit we progressed. We were fortunate that the Scouts agreed to us having a Wednesday night and the Church was reborn.
The bookings were in and our opening night was arranged for 04/10/06. The Church's first night was also my Ordination as a Corinthian Spiritual Minister. It was dedicated by Rev Bryan Pitt from Bathgate and the medium that night was a wonderful lady called Eileeen Winkworth of whom we were honoured to have as our very first medium. The evening was a great sucess and so it has gone from strength to strength.
We now have 2 Ministers in our Church myself and the Rev Shona Brown who was ordained in 2007. We can carry out Weddings, Marriage Blessings, Baptisms and Funerals.
Our weekly services are on a Wednesday at 7.30 with a diffirent medium each week, followed by Teas, Coffees and cakes, then a Healing Circle conducted by qualified Healers. Many people who pass through our door speaks of the warm welcome they receive and the comfort they feel, all thanks to Spirit.
To date we have helped many Charities with our special events. We are currently sponsoring a Child from a third world country called Kajima who up unitl the age of 9 had never been to school. We send Worldvision funds each year to school her and help her village something we are very proud and priviledged to do.
